How do I open the candidate list?
In the XING JobsManager, go to Job Postings and open the desired job posting.
Under Candidates, you will find the new candidate list.
What sections are there?
For a quick overview, the candidate list is divided into three sections:
Applications
Under Applications, you will find all people who have applied to your job posting via the "Easy Apply" option.
Select a person to view the profile and additional application information. You can process the application directly from the candidate list, change the recruiting status, and contact the talent.
Visited and engaged with the job ad
Here you can discover additional potential candidates who have already shown interest in your position.
Suggested matches
Under Suggested Talents, you will find people who might fit the advertised position and whom you might want to invite to apply.
By clicking “Review match insights”, you can see how well each profile matches your job posting. The matching details show which requirements from your job posting correspond with the talent’s profile.
This helps you quickly assess which suggested talents are interesting for your position.
How do I see more information about a person?
Click on a person in the candidate list to open their profile.
The profile is displayed directly next to the list so you can view the details without leaving the candidate list. If needed, you can also open the profile view in full-screen mode.
How do I find suitable candidates?
Use the search and available filters to narrow down the candidate list and find relevant people faster.
The available information and options may vary depending on the section.
How do I change the application status?
The application status helps you quickly see where an application is in your recruiting process.
Applications are automatically sorted by their current status into “Awaiting review,” “In progress,” or “Closed.” The number next to each status group shows how many applications are in that group right now.
To change an application’s status, just click on its current status and pick the new one you want.
Advanced Recruiting Process
If you want to map your recruiting process in more detail, activate the Advanced Recruiting Process above the candidate list.
This gives you the following statuses:
- Awaiting review
- Screened
- Interviews
- Offer
- Closed
Open the current status of an application and select the desired new status.
You can toggle the advanced recruiting mode on or off at any time using the switch above the candidate list.
Can I open talents in the XING TalentManager?
You can open profiles from the candidate list directly in the XING TalentManager. To do this, select “Open Profile in TalentManager” for the desired person. By clicking the “Open in New Window” icon, you can also access the entire candidate list in the XING TalentManager.
A corresponding access to the XING TalentManager is required.
How can I make the most of the candidate list?
Take a look at your candidate list regularly so you don’t miss out on interesting talent and can respond quickly to new applications.
- Review new applications: Check the incoming applications and update their recruiting status.
- Follow up on interest: Keep an eye on who’s engaged with your job ad. The timestamp shows when and how someone interacted with your job ad. You can invite promising candidates to apply or contact them directly via the XING TalentManager.
- Discover new talent: Take a look at suggested talent and their match details. Invite suitable candidates to apply or mark those who aren’t a fit to help improve your recommendations.
Doing this helps you stay on top of your candidate pipeline and reach out to the right talent early.
