AI-assisted CV summaries help you get a quick overview of a candidate profile. The most relevant information from the CV is summarized directly in the candidate profile in up to five bullet points.
The summary supports you during profile review. It does not evaluate, score, rank, or make decisions about candidates.
Activate AI-assisted CV summaries
Administrators can activate the feature under Settings > AI features.
Once activated, AI-assisted CV summaries can be made available to users who have access to the respective candidate profile and CV.
Activating the feature also adds a new section about AI-assisted CV summaries to the privacy information for candidates. You can review the text under Settings > Privacy > Information on data processing.
Control access via permission groups
Administrators can use permission groups to define which users can see AI-assisted CV summaries.
Enable the permission “Can see AI-assisted CV summaries in candidate profiles” for the relevant user groups.
If this permission is deactivated, users cannot see AI-assisted CV summaries in candidate profiles.
View a summary in the candidate profile
Open a candidate profile to view the AI-assisted summary.
If no current summary is available yet, it is generated automatically from the available profile data. This can include:
- Work experience
- Education
- Language skills
- Skills
- Information from a linked XING profile, if available
Attributes such as date of birth, gender, photo, or nationality are not used to create the summary.
The generated summary is stored in onlyfy and displayed again when the candidate profile is reopened.
Always review the summary
AI-generated summaries can be incomplete or inaccurate, or may give individual information too much or too little weight. Always review the summary together with the full candidate profile, CV, application, and other relevant documents.
Do not make decisions about contacting, selecting, rejecting, or hiring a candidate solely based on the AI-assisted summary.
AI-assisted CV summaries are treated as a high-risk AI use case in the employment context under the EU AI Act. Human review therefore remains an essential part of using the feature responsibly.
The summary is intended as an orientation aid only. The assessment of the candidate profile and all recruiting decisions remain with you.

You can rate each summary using thumbs up or thumbs down.
Your feedback helps us understand where the summaries are useful and where their quality can be improved.
Candidate CV data is not used to train the underlying AI model.
