Under Insights you can follow the posts and updates of your contacts and see, for instance, when someone has a new contact or has made changes to their XING profile. In exactly the same way, you can also make your activities visible to your contacts. Or choose not to share them if you prefer.
You can determine which of your activities are shown as follows:
- Click on your profile image in the top right corner of the XING website and choose Settings. In the XING app tap on our profile image → Settings → XING Settings.
- Click on Privacy.
- Scroll down to the section Your activity.
- Now adjust your settings in the "Network news updates" section as you wish.
If you change your employer, your contact details or add something to your "Skills", this generates a news story under Insights. Your contacts immediately can see if something important is happening on your profile. If you want to rework your profile page,, you might want to consider deactivating the following settings temporarily so that your contacts don’t receive too many notifications all at once:
- My profile updates
- My professional experience
- My business card
