There are three different types of talent pools.
Own pools
I.e. those that have been created by the users of the TalentpoolManager. By means of campaigns you can easily stay in contact with the deposited users.
Automatically generated pools
i.e. for users who use TalentManager Pro in combination with other XING recruiting products (Employer Branding Profile and Job Ads), there are filters in the search that correspond to the TalentpoolManager's automatic pools.
Smart Pools
i.e. a talent pool that is created and automatically updated based on your search criteria: New talents that match your search criteria are automatically added to your Smart Pool.
