Enhanced candidate experience through optimal accessibility
Your candidates no longer need to log in to manage their applications – everything can now be handled conveniently via email. Here’s an overview of the changes:
No more login area: Applications can be completed in one step without the need to set up login credentials.
Structured confirmation emails: Candidates receive notifications via email (e.g., receipt confirmation) with links to download their data overview or request data deletion.
Revised notification templates: All templates have been carefully updated to meet the new requirements.

If you have customized notifications for candidates, you can reset them to the new standard templates. This ensures that the templates comply with accessibility standards and support the appropriate tone of communication (formal "Sie” or informal “Du” in German).

“Du” or “Sie” – Set the tone of communication for candidates (German)
With the tone-of-voice setting for candidate communication, you can choose between “Du” (informal) and “Sie” (formal). This feature ensures consistent communication and helps you authentically present your employer brand.
How to set the tone:
Go to Settings > Applications > Application Settings.
In the “Candidate Communication” section, select your preferred tone: The setting is disabled by default (formal tone: “Sie"). Activate the setting for "Du".
Save your changes.

Tip: Check whether your custom content (emails and job advertisement templates) aligns with the current communication setting. Your adjusted notification templates remain unchanged but can be reset to the new standard templates at any time.
In job-specific candidate lists, you can now sort applications by star rating. Applications with the highest or lowest ratings will be displayed first. Applications from XING talent suggestions will appear at the bottom of this sorting, as they typically do not have ratings.
